Instructional Design Materials: Welcome

Description

In my professional experience, I have designed a variety of learning materials, including eLearning courses, job aids, infographics, presentations, curriculum maps, lesson plans, assessments, and rubrics. I have also managed the flow of coursework, feedback, and assessment using a variety of learning management systems (LMS), including Adobe Captivate Prime, Google Classroom, and Canvas.

Below you will find multiple examples of eLearning modules, online courses, and presentations I have authored in Articulate Storyline 360, Canvas, and Articulate Rise. Each contains a variety of interactive, visually engaging activities designed to promote active, accessible learning. You will also find samples of job aids, infographics, flowcharts, and training manuals I created for corporate and higher education clientele. Finally, you will find instructional design materials I developed for a year-long 11th grade American Literature course, including a curriculum map, a summative assessment standards matrix (SASM), a course syllabus, and a set of rubrics used to assess coursework.

Canvas Course: "Creating Products for Authentic Audiences with Adobe Spark"

I created this online professional development course in Canvas as the capstone project for my M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technology. The course is designed to teach ASU instructors how to use Adobe Spark (now called Adobe Creative Cloud Express) in the creation of products for authentic audiences and purposes. The course uses a variety of instructional strategies, including situated learning, modeling, and reflection, all of which are proven methods of engaging adult learners.

Infographic: "ContaMOOnation"

I created this infographic in order to help students in my American Literature class understand how to use the features of Piktochart to create learning visuals based off of informational text. This was done in order to prepare them for creating their own infographic as part of a unit on text synthesis.

Curriculum Map

I created this curriculum map in order to outline a full year of coursework for a 11th grade English Language Arts class. All objectives and instructional activities align with Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (11th-12th grade) and ACT standards.
